I didn't know that the 3gs had a transmitter on it, I've never had any luck getting it to transmit anything. I did however find a nice little transmiter that you can plug into the bottom of your phone. You can play any of your iphone music on a unused radio frequencey in your car. You'll find them on E-bay,have a good look though because the prices varry from $5 to $80.
