Installing cracked apps with WinSCP
This is the method I use to install cracked games and apps. The only negative thing in doing it this way is that some of the larger size apps like for example Driver or London Master can take a long time to process.
Obviously you will have a cracked iPhone or iPod Touch with appsync and openSSH installed, in my case appsync for OS4.1.
On your computer you will need WinSCP. (Other posts will instruct you on how to set up this with your device).
To make things easier, go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options/View and deselect Hide extensions for known file types.
Download your choice of cracked app from apptrackr, appcake, getipa etc.
Right click the app and rename to (appname).app.rar then click enter then yes.
Open the rar file you have just created, double click Payload
then drag the folder within to your desktop.
Now open WinSCP and navigate to /private/var/stash/Aplications
Drag the folder off your desktop and drop into the Applications folder. This is the time when the file transfer may take a long time, depending on the size of the app you are transferring.
When the transfer is complete right click on the transferred app, then under Permissions check the two empty boxes to the right of Group and Others so the Octal reads 0777 (Or just type in 0777, either way works), then check the box next to Set group, owner and permissions recursively.
Click OK then respring device
Please be aware that not all cracked apps work properly.
I have installed dozens that crash the moment the home screen appears.
This is the method I use on my iPhone 3GS.
I am not sure if this works on all models.

I think installous is much better because Installous automatiocaly fix permission and other things.
Install cracke ipa via PC using openSSH ( winscp or iphone tunnel suit )
its the best way
first download cracked ipa (we get from various source)
connect iPhone using iPhone Tunnel Suite (usb)
locate the folder /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads (if their is no Download folder, make a new folder )
copy and paste downloded ipa file to download folder.
Close iPhone tunnel, disconnect iPhone. Open installous check downloads. You can see the .ipa ( application ) file.

Everytime I copy an IPA it fails to install in Installous
I (Winscp)SSh /private/var/mobile/documents/installous/downloads
Can someone please help, Thanks

this could actually be a useful way to install apps, because sometimes installous fails to install/download apps and it could get really annoying especially with the big sized apps.

Hi there, I have used WinSCP with no trouble in the past but now I can't get it to connect to my iphone 4 (4.3.5). I have googled the shit out of 'iphone 4 wont connect to WinSCP' to no avail.
I am however able to connect to my iphone using 'iPhone browser' so have given up on WinSCP all together.
Anyway, my question is.... Does anybody know how to change the preferences of a cracked app in iPhone Browser?? When I upload the folder into the var/stash/applications folder and right click it, there is no 'preferences' option.
Any ideas???

Nevermind, I just downloaded iFunbox. It looks like this may work.

iFunbox is loads easier just drag to install, then again...just drag into iTunes and install that way...I have no idea why people don't just use iTunes in the first place

I think I'm going to try this method, seems a lot less hassle as installous will do it for you!
