Heylo i am currently running ios 4.1 on my iphone 3gs.my device is jailbroken and unlocked to be used with any carrier.

Actually the jailbreaking thing was done by some outsider so he updated my baseband to 06.15.00.
Now i am facing some problems with my phone such as battery drain and self restart.

Can you please guide me how to restore my phone and also provide me with the link to the firmware?can i restore my phone to official firmware?

A complete guide to restoration,jailbreak and unlock would be highly appreciated..thanks in advance...

ooh to bad, u cant downgrade BB 06.15.00 if you are using 3Gs, only 3G is available now (using fuzzyband). but dont worry, the devTeam still working on it, however the ETA is still unknown.

u also can restore to OFFICIAL FIRMWARE of 4.0.1, 4.1 or even 3.1.x, but noted that ur baseband will still stuck at 06.15.00

hey, btw could you tell me whether ur push notification from apps such as IM+ works perfectly or not? coz im in this baseband, and my push notif. has been screwed up since last month.

old thread suprized still gets hist but i did not upload this one due to all the battery drain issues people had when they cooked there own and i did not what a inbox full of my battery is draining fix it... if you know what i mean

Just wanted to say good work on these. I think they are the same ones I saw on a torrent site cause upload.com yesterday was saying "Server that has files is unavailable" so I had to get them from elsewhere. That last link in your first post too doesn't seem to work it truncated it improperly.

Also folks? Try multiple simcards if you can, the Bell Canada one I tried didn't work from a Blackbery.. turns out it was a CDMA phone and didn't require a sim card that was just for international calling apparently lol, so got a new sim card and activated to the IMEI of the iPhone 3Gs and it works flawlessly now.

I pissed around for hours b4 I figured it out

thot i would share with you cause I know what its like lol

put phone in dfu mode

hold power for 3 seconds

hold power + home for 10 seconds

hold home for 30 seconds

open itunes, hold shift and click restore

use the factory firmware (not custom) you are on (will work for 4.1.2... tested by me... and I hear 4.2.1 by friends)

restore, it will go threw half of it and show progress on your iphone then FAIL

at this point open up redsn0w (I used redsn0w_win_0.9.6b5 on my xp-x86 machine)

and clicked "install cydia"

it froze when doing activation (just let it sit, ull find out when)

at this point I held home + power for 10 seconds or so, it rebooted

I went back into DFU mode


and click "just boot tethered"

give it time and it will boot, locked on emergency mode


at this point I took my legit sim and inserted it and activated the phone


then ran redsn0w again and clicked "install cydia"


now I have cydia and iam untethered


on iPhone 3GS (New Bootrom) iOS 4.1.2 w/ iPAD baseband 6.15 on Windows XP x86 SP3 VLK

it was a scary journey, I am glad to be back

Nice detailed instructions. Any idea if they also work for a 3G? And, can you receive MMS? I can send but not receive. BTW, my GPS works just fine.

I finally have MMS working - both sending and receiving on T-Mobile prepaid. I could always send, but could never receive until this evening. Here's what I did:

Removed T-Mobile MMS Fix obtained from sinfuliphone repository on Cydia
Installed T-Mobile MMS Fix from leimobile repository on Cydia

I still have not installed TetherMe. My GPS is real time and has always worked - even immediately after jailbreaking and unlocking. That was the first thing I checked, and it was okay the first 5 minutes or so the day I unlocked the phone.

I'll probably quit while I'm ahead, and not try to upgrade to iOS 5. Thanks again!
