Ok To Get This Clear. The 3G File Posted In The OP
Is The Firmware 4.2.1 And It IS Hacktivated AND Unlocked?
So I Wouldn't Have To Download Redsnow And Flash The Baseband And Etc.

no it is not unlocked what you have to do after you install is just turn on your wifi and go into cydia and unlock with the new updated ultrasn0w 1.2 all i did was take the confusing steps out

i have 4.1. i used 4.2.1 with redsnow but after my iphone restarted i looked in general - about and says im on 4.1 and not 4.2.1. i think ill wait for a cooked 4.2.1 iswp for 3gs to restore with itunes from you.

you can do it with 4.1 on pwnage but 4.2 is faster at least on a 3g (have not tried it on my 3gs) that is why all the post say that

Thanks for the ipsw's, but just a noob question? Do I install this ipsw for my 3gs with redsnow (I don't have a Mac).

I followed the step by step guide, for some reason the baseband is stuck at 05.14.02 and don't seem to wanna update to 06.15.00.

install 4.1. download redsnow, choose 4.1firmware, install ipad baseband update, then put in dfu mode, then the fun begins (flash baseband). After flashing, it will auto reboot. then download ultrasnow from cydia!

if you used the fw i put up then no need to try and cook just eat and restore

hello i want to know i am now in 4.1 5.14 baseband............... if i download ur hactivated 3gs firmware and restore in my mob am i able to unlock with new baseband or i have to jailbreak and then unlock??

is it pre jailbroken one or i have to jailbreak after restore??

I understand but it just took me four hours to cook and upload all those files have never uploaded stuff like this b4 so I know if I ever do it again I will def use a dif service sorry about that

Would not recommend it unless you just have to have newest shit download it and keep it as a back up incse something goes bad down the road

Honestly if ur running smooth and just want to update I would go to 4.1 with pwnage to preserve baseband then unlock like normal to answer us it faster on 3GS have no clue never tried 4.2.1 on mine just my 3G

how do i restore
1. DFU mode
2. Recovery mode.

and while restoring itunes will give any error or nt if it gives any error what i have to do

and should i have to change any host file or not??
