HOW TO restore iphone 3g 4.1 bb 6.15.00

i made the mistake of restoring and not knowing the mission it would take to get it done

so heres what i did

1. i pointed itunes to restore to the 4.1 fw
2. i got an error at the end, and iphone was stuck in dfu mode (or whatever mode that is)
3. jail break it again with the new resn0w that came out today

and it should be fine

I don't think you can use the OG fw agian because it uses new baseband.

I just did it with 3G...
If you are trying to restore the bb 6.15 with 4.1 you are getting 1015, am I right?
I have the solution, really simple...
Use iReb, in the middle tab, you have the fix of this problem.
Also, you can use the first tab, click on iPhone 3G, and get into a DFU mode.
Then try to restore.
Pressing "Thanks" doesn't cost money

Ok, I'm getting desperate. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have an iPhone 3G. It was originally on 4.1. I upgraded to 4.2.1, and then jailbroke with redsn0w (I'm on Windows). I then unlocked it with the updated iPad baseband, and everything was working great (I was able to get signal on my AT&T sim without having an iPhone on my AT&T account, which I was unable to do before. which tells me it's working.)

Unfortunately, I got a little too careless, and decided that I wanted a clean install of 4.2.1 jailbroken and unlocked, so I tried to restore, and am now stuck on the restore screen. I have tried countless different ways to get it out of the restore screen, including:

1) Restoring to stock 4.2.1 and then jailbreaking with redsn0w
2) Restoring to stock 4.1, and then jailbreaking with redsn0w
3) Restoring to the custom 4.2.1 firmware provided by fireishott1

After each of these jailbreaks, I tried TinyUmbrella to kick me out of recovery, and all of them failed. I have been working on this most of the night, and would appreciate any help you could send my way. Thank you to everyone working on this, and especially to the Dev Team for all their hard work on this unlock.

i pointed itunes to the OG 4.1 FW and it installed it complete, but with an error

dont remember what number it was.

i got scared and didnt know how to get out of recovery.

i tried with the custom fw, didnt work, tried again with the regular fw. didnt work.

Icon9 Need baseband 6.15 on 3GS but forever stuck at 5.15

I am on a MAC PPC 10.5.8 trying to upgrade the BB on my 3GS to 6.15 using Pwnage Tool 3.1.4 and pointing to iOS 4.1/iPad 3.2.2 IPSW etc. Because I am on a PPC I cannot use Redsn0w. I've followed the instructions many times and tried many tricks but i am still unable to get the BB to upgrade from 5.15. I do know that my bootrom is the newer variety. I am wondering if this is somehow prohibiting the restore from working properly?- but i cannot find any similar stories online. I have tried several versions downloads of the iPad firmware fix the DevTeam released. Nothing seems to bring this BB up to 6.15. Any suggestions or am I S.O.L. until a new Pwnage Tool release comes along? P.S. I got the phone from someone who I told very specifically not to restore to 4.2.1 but they did it anyway

So, I did the same thing with restoring my 4.1 3G iPhone and then when I was taken to the recovery mode I followed the instructions and used redsn0w anyways and it worked fine.............. Until I inserted my SIM card, everything gets really slow and inevitably, the iPhone turns off and begins to reboot. It does this until I take the T-Mobile SIM card out. This happens again and again in a cycle and I don't what's going on. The SIM card was working just fine before I restored it. Now I installed ultrasn0w 1.2 and it still does the same thing, EVEN though I have 6.15 BB..... Please Help.

I am having the same problem...error 1015, Apple will not restore to 4.1 or 4.2.1 because the baseband is at 6.15. I've tried re-jailbreaking it through iReb and redsnow...nothing. Tinyumbrella and RecBoot will not kick it out of recovery. Please help!! I can't install custom IPSW's or anything! Did Apple lock it because they saw the iPad 6.15 bb? HELP!

Will not restore? I restored to 4.1 today and then unlocked it with ultrasn0w 1.2 after jailbreaking it with the new redsn0w.

If you've restored with original FW 4.1 and get an 1015 error code just use tiny umbrella to kick the phone out of it. It should work. It did for me today.

It did however not work with 4.2.1.
