cydia keeps crashing

hey guys,have a problem with cydia,keeps crashing on me,it was working fine and then i installed a app and on reboot it starts crashing when i try to open it,i notice that it has made other apps that were working for me not work any more!!!!if you could help out it would be much appreciated.It has done this to me twice in the last 2 days(had to jailbreak my phone twice and it is getting very annoying),the fist time was when i updated mobile substrate and know when i downloaded cyntact from the sinful iphone repo!!sorry if im in the wrong post area but relly needing some help here!!!!!!!!!!!!




Oh- i also tried-------- apt-get install Cydia .......................and i get the following


Reading packages list....Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information....Done
E: Coundn't find package Cydia

i downloaded cyntact. but i dont believe that that is the problem,worked for me on a previous install!

did you jailbreak with Blackrain? if so do you still have it on your springboard? if yes then use winscp and go to stash/apps and delete cydia then reboot then open blackrain on sprinboard and reinstall cydia

thanks anyway jima but it would seem that blackrain is one of the programs it affected!!!!

is there a altenative to cydia seems that ever since i jailbroke this phone i have had allk kinds of problems

i take that back,after rejailbreaking and going through all that painful process again ,i installed cyntact and guess sbat? Cydia crashing constantly now!!!!WoW never had any issues like this with my crackberry,i think im stuck with either a ordinary iphone or get back to my crackberry!!!!!

try starting over one more time with a fresh restore then run blackra1n install cydia and remove unistall blackra1n then run cydia let it do its thing and readd all ur repos and such its worth a try thts what i would do

Thanks for the help but this is what ive done already,and it happened again this morning after redoing it all,wow very frustrating at this point!!!!any way of substituting cydia??

if all else fails.. restore - jailbreak and baaamm good as new. hope u have back up contacts and stuff.
