I am running on fw 3.1.3, just downloaded a new app but it requires fw 3.2 or higher. I do not want to upgrade at all just for 1 app, is there a way to get the app to work without upgrading? like an appsync program that tricks idevice into thinking its been upgraded?
There are reasons some apps will not work on firmware's below 4.0. iOS 4 has new features that some apps need to function. There is no app to "Fake" your firmware.

There use to be an app that would fake you firmware in cydia. I use to have it on my 3g you could fake it to be any os. I don't know if it was just for show or if it would really do anything. I don't have my 3g anymore and i'm running 4.1 but you might give it a shot. It was in the tweaks section in cydia if i remember correctly.
