Tutorial - Sync Cracked Apps with iTunes

Many people are having problems syncing their cracked apps with iTunes. Here are some things you could do to fix this:

Install Appsync:

This is one of the first things you should do after you jailbreak.

1) Open Cydia and add the source http://cydia.*******.us/ ← After "cydia." type in "h a c k u l o" without spaces.

2) Now search for "Installous" and hit install. (Make sure it's from the h ackulo repo. There may be other Installous on other repos but h ackulo are the original makers.) You will notice that Cydia will automatically install the correct Appsync along with Installous.

3) Reboot.

4) Open Installous and go to the "Settings" tab.

5) Make sure the "iTunes Sync" is set to on.

6) You are safe to sync with iTunes

Reset Warnings in iTunes:

Whenever you get an app on you iDevice and sync, iTunes will ask you to "Transfer" or "Don't Transfer" these apps. If your like me, you would have at some point hit the "Don't ask me again" box. But doing this doesn't always mean that iTunes will sync these apps. To reset the warnings:

1) Open iTunes.

2) Right-Click on your iDevice in the left column and hit "Reset All Warnings".

3) Close and re-open iTunes.

4) Sync with iTunes.

Restart Your Computer:

Restarting your computer always does miracles

Perform a Normal Sync:

I found this method particularly successful. This is what you do:

1) If you already have Appsync, uninstall it.

2) Reboot.

3) Connect to iTunes and sync.

4) After sync is finished, reinstall Appsync.

5) Reboot.

6) Sync.

Make Sure Apps are Selected to Sync:

Sometimes, after a restore, iTunes will automatically disable all of your saved apps from syncing. To re-enable syncing of these apps, do the following:

1) Open iTunes and go to your iDevice homepage.

2) Click on the "Apps" tab at the top of your page:

3) Make sure the "Sync Apps" box is selected and that all your apps are selected too.

When doing a clean restore on your PC, it is often easy to forget to sign in to iTunes when you re-install it. Not doing so will not allow you to sync any apps. Make sure to sign in on both your iDevice and in iTunes. Also remember to authorize you account.

I hope these tips helped you. Remember to hit Thanks!!

What does this step do ?

Preform a Normal Sync:

I found this method particularly successful. This is what you do:

1) If you already have Appsync, uninstall it.

2) Reboot.

3) Connect to iTunes and sync.

4) After sync is finished, reinstall Appsync.

5) Reboot.

6) Sync.

Does the crack apps also sync with itunes ?
In process 3 do the crack apps get lose ?

If you have appsync and your cracked apps don't sync no matter what you do, I found that doing a normal sync (Without appsync) and then reinstalling appsync sometimes allows cracked apps to be synced. In step 3, your cracked apps won't be deleted, but new ones you get won't be transferred to iTunes.

Can't sync applications from Installous to iTunes 10.1.1.4. on my 3GS 4.1.
It was syncing before, but now it won't.
Any patch for this problem? I've done the following already:

Had Appsync 4.1 installed.Tried new update Appsync 4.0+
Set ''iTunes sync'' to ''on'' Installous settings.
Did re-installing of Appsync and Installous.
Also tried Installous 3 and Installous 4.

On iTunes, I did:

Reset warnings.
Right click phone icon and "Transfer Purchases"
Tick on "Sync Apps"

I also did re-installing iTunes removing all remnants of old files(Fresh Install)

Did ''Normal sync'' procedure as stated above...

But still don't sync, any ideas?

I can only think of a restore. Make sure AppSync is one of the first things you install on your restored device as I found out that if you download any apps before you get AppSync, it won't get along too well with iTunes.

I've been having a heck of a time with my 2nd phone. I am trying to set up my 4G. Jailbroken on 4.2.1 with Greenpois0n. Install0us 4 and appsynch. Just updated to Itunes 10.2.1 (after my older version didn't work). Everything hums along normally but every time I try to sync apps it first tells me that there are apps that need to be transferred...

No problem... I do that on my 3GS every day... On the 4G, however, iTues keeps telling me that the computer is not authorized. If I de-authorize it and re-authorize it or just plug in the PW again, same message. I've tried on my iTunes account and another account (just to try everything I could think of).

"This computer is already authorized"... then... "iTunes can not transfer the applications because this computer is not authorized"... "This computer is already authorized"... and so forth...

Of course when it gets to the "iTunes is selecting what applications to sync" (sep 3 of 4), it simply removes whatever apps I had checked to upload to the 4G, finishes the sync without actually doing anything and smiles at me in smug superiority...

I've un-installed and re-installed everything on the JB side (which, itself is only 48 hours old). This one is killin' me. I'm not one to post troubles until I've searched for fixes for several hours and tried all of the "basic" stuff but I'm stumped. Ideas?

You need to sync with iTunes BEFORE you make any Installous downloads. Make sure you have Appsync before you do that. Just play around with it trying different things and eventually it'll work

thanks! I bought my friend's iPhone and she had a ton of apps. Here's what I did:
I got iFunBox, and copied over all the .ipa files, and some games had some nice highscores I ahcieved and didn't want to lose them so I just copied the .ipa file AND all the folders that came with it (which included my highscores and such).
I synced with iTunes (it deleted all the apps, but.. whatever.)

Did Da Haka's thing.

Downloaded Installous, and installed Angry Birds. It got transferred to my iTunes account.

BIG MASSIVE THANK YOU!
