its possible that you may have installed something to cause it.

or

hardware malfunction.. this happend on my macbookpro before. there's this metal part that gets stuck thinking that ur headphones is still connected when its not. i poke a toothpick in and just wing it. it worked.

if al else fails.. id say just restore reJB and pray its gone
hit THANKS or you..

It's your headphone jack that is causing these issues. Try plugging and unplugging some headphones into your phone about 6 or 7 times and that should fix it.

If you lack enemies, you're not doing something worthwhile!

as master Sinful says its probably your headphone jack, volume boost may also cause this if its not on the right firmware because its only for 3.0 .

I don't think the problem comes from the jack. I have the same problem but it goes in headphones mode when the phone gets a little warm.

It is possible to disable the headphones jack/headphones mode with a application or a toggle in sbsettings?

This is a heating problem!

As discussed extensively by posters in other forums, the iPhone 3G headphone problem is a HEATING problem. Period. I myself have installed a new headphone jack assembly and a new docking port, to no avail. I've tested the heating issue numerous times to verify that it's the problem, and confirmed it's quite reproducible. Unfortunately what this means for all us 3G users out there is that there's no 'easy' fix for this issue... unless someone comes up with a better logic board cooling method, for example. Liquid sodium, anyone?

same problem. I read an Turkish forum; maybe an mini chip is damaged. This chip where?: On board, follow down the Headphones flex port, and 4 blocks later, find the first 3 pin chip. This is the damaged part. And solder 2 pin (between) and goodbye this problem, but goodbye your headphones Sorry for my english..

I was also wondering if someone came out with a SB toggle or something of that nature that would just disable the headphone mode.
