Jailbreak for 4.2.1?

Hey guys i know theres a jailbreak for 4.2.1 but is it still in beta versions? or is it released and okay to use now?

btw i just got my iPhone 4 today!

there is a version out but it is tethered and still in beta. As far as i know, it's only for Mac users also. Check the dev team blog for more info.

oh i thought there was untethered versions.....is there anyway i can downgrade to 4.1 so i can jailbreak then? its brand new i just got it today so there aent any saved sshblobs of course :P

Your basically f'd. But hang on a little while. Initially it was thought that we'd have a nice untethered jailbreak around Christmas, latest news (see front page) is that Comex is holding out the untethered good stuff til 4.3 drops, which likely won't be til late March, right around the corner for iPhone 5, really.

I'm pulling that March date out of my ass, BTW, there's no news on that, just sounds about right based on their typical release schedule.

Nope, you are basically SOL. In the mean time while waiting for untethered jailbreak for 4.2.1, you can still save your shsh blobs to cydia and locally using tinyumbrella without being jailbroken.
