Cydia Error: NetDB: Open nodenam

Can anyone tell me what this error is and what I need to do to fix it?

I have already deleted everything in the list files except partial, removed Sinful as a source, and re-installed Cydia from the deb downloaded here.

Cydia won't let me update or delete anything.

Well I fixed it. After installing the Cydia deb my sources and packages showed back up. Nothing else worked. It still was giving me the error and wouldn't install updates or delete packages. I went to add Sinful back as a source and finally got the complete error message. It said something about Ispazio's server not found. Went into Ifile etc/apt/sources.list.d and deleted Ispazio as a source.

Cydia is working perfectly now. Since Ispazio is a source that comes with Cydia, I am guessing an update will be forced out sooner or later.

I've been having the same issue for 2 days now. I don't know how to read the entire error code(cut off due to portrait mode) so I don't know if iSpazio is causing my issue or not. I tried reinstalling the new Cydia *.7, but it didn't fix the error. Since the error might not be on my end I've decided to install NoCyfresh i4 and wait it out a few days before reloading to see if maybe it works itself out.

If you are using the new cydia, install NoCyFresh for your idevice model and delete the sinfuliphonerepo.com source if you are on 4.2. It no longer works.

Only way I could read the entire error code was when I tried to add a new source. A pop up came up telling me the error. It was stuck at that point, but all I did was press the home button to exit Cydia.

Ispazzio might not be the source giving you the error. FYI the sinful repo is causing me no issues.

All is good in Cydia world now and you were a big help. I tried to add a repo like you said and when updating got the popup error about the iSpazio repo. Since I haven't installed anything from iSpazio and that repo is jacked up every other week I SSH'd in and deleted it. Rebooted and reloaded Cydia and everything works like it should. Thanks.

Sometimes Cydia's sources are not loaded correctly and their data base can not be located. The error is for missing data base, this error will correct itself when the source is on line again. Most errors in Cydia related to sources that are not mainstream, and they also make Cydia slow to load.

I deleted ispazio source a while ago as it was causing problems then,

But I also had to go into the packages tab and remove ispazio from the package list to remove it fully.

I found the problem on this error. If you are downloading an application from cydia and it gives you an error open db, it means the applications doesn't have all the necessary files that comes with it that's why its giving you an error. Some of the applications are connected with different applications that the file that you were trying to get aren't available to download due to corrupted file or wasn't included on the application. Resolve it by searching from a different source that carry the same application that you are trying to download. If it gives you an error downloading from sinful, try another repo that carry the same application. Hope this will help
