teach me how to do untethered boot 3gs

hi guys am on win7 how can i do untethered boot in 3gs 4.2.1 i have redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc8 . do i just jailbreak as usual or i need as pecial command

NO just only check box " Just boot tether right now' is good enough no need any commands. But, as usual with Redsn0w and win7 make sure you ran compatibility change on "Properties" first, and "run as Administrator" for the best

is it possible to switch off /on after doing this or i need redsnow everytime i want to boot

If you are having a tethered jailbreak, you need redsn0w everytime you switch off / on or when your battery goes flat. Would you foresee yourself switching off / on frequently? Avoid installing programs that would mess up your jailbreak too.
