New iphone 4 in OS 4.1 cant get SHSHs past 4.2.1

Cydia has the 4.2.1 blob saved but tiny umbrella tells me this when i try to get any other blobs:

unfortunately you can't save anymore other blobs as apple stopped singing them.. There are some news of a new version of tiny umbrella that would be able to save any other blobs but for the time being, no solution..

So how did cydia get the old 4.2 3b blob on my 3gs?? were they still signing that one?

wow so if i upgrade to 4.2.1 i cant come back down to 4.1 huh..lol that is good to know.. i just got this phone last week and i think the lady in the store was supposed to upgrade it in store but she forgot so i gont the 4.1 and am happily jailbroken

but i guess i cant use the redsnow JB untether since i can save the 4.2 3b blobs ?

Yea, by the time cydia saved your old blobs, apple was probably still signing them...
There is a way to downgrade to 4.1, the problem is that your baseband was probably updated when you upgraded to 4.2.1... If you don't rely on an unlock then i guess you have no problem.. you can still downgrade, though you have to go around the itunes errors that will show up while restoring the firmwares that used the old baseband.. If you DO rely on an unlock then you have to wait for some updates on the new unlock that should be released very soon (hopefully!)

EDIT**
And yeah, you can jailbreak your 4.1 even without the blobs
