how to change firmware version using ssh!

i dont know if its posted !
so
u can change ur firmware version by just editing a file

ssh using ifile

navigate to \System\Library\CoreServices
n u will see SystemVersion.plist file

now open it

n u will see some commands like this

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>ProductBuildVersion</key>
<string>xxxxx</string>
<key>ProductCopyright</key>
<string>1983-2010 Apple Inc.</string>
<key>ProductName</key>
<string>iPhone OS</string>
<key>ProductVersion</key>
<string>3.1.3</string>
<key>Credits</key>
<string>http://www.hackyouriphone.org</string>
</dict>
</plist>

as i'm on 3.1.3 its showing 3.1.3

now just change 3.1.3 to anything u like!

like i changed min e to 4.1

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>ProductBuildVersion</key>
<string>xxxxx</string>
<key>ProductCopyright</key>
<string>1983-2010 Apple Inc.</string>
<key>ProductName</key>
<string>iPhone OS</string>
<key>ProductVersion</key>
<string>4.1</string>
<key>Credits</key>
<string>http://www.hackyouriphone.org</string>
</dict>
</plist>
it shud b like this!
n then respring
do it on ur own risk !!!!!

Hallo K1LL1aN, You can open IPA file with winrar (keep open) ,

- Go to folder Payload,
- Then in -----------. app
Search for: - Info.plist

Download:

- Download plist Editor for Windows 1.0.2 Free - A tool for editing MAC OS property list file under Windows system. - Softpedia

Install plist Editor-for-Windows,

- Open Info.plist search
- (key) MinimumOSVersion (/key)
(string) 3.0 (/string)
- Change it in any instance FW ( (string) 4.1 (/string) ) you want, then save it,
- Remove the old Info.plist inside winrar.
- Put the new one inside winrar to replace the other one you delted.

-close WinRAR.

That was it
