No idea about the Ipsw or the blobs. If we need the blobs, I'm screwed.

And I've been checking the other iPhone sites and many many many more people are disgruntled about waiting so long as well. This better be a Jailbreak that covers everyone and not a half ass jailbreak that only covers half the iPhones. :-(

I'm getting sick of all these "Coming Soon" posts. Stop teasing us!!! We have been seeing this type of news since Christmas. I know these guys are working hard and props goes to them.
I just ask to stop teasing us and just release the untethered jb when it is stable and ready.

What does it mean for my Ipad? Not supported? oh...I give up! Arghhh!!!

Im sorry for asking this if the answer has already been posted but if i have a phone which came with stock 4.2.1 so i have no 4.1 blobs can i still use this to jailbreak just using just the 4.1 ipsw so i dont need the 4.1 blobs at all,

No you can not, have you got 4.2b3 ? blobs? by anychance. If not you may have to wait for greenp0ison's untethered jailbreak, if you can not wait then try tethered jailbreak (not recommended)

And for people that can not wait, we will have the untethered (people that has 4.1 blobs or 4.2b3 blobs) jailbreak near to the release of verizon iphone 4 release.....

Because "replacement" phones are actually not new ones (housing yes, but inside components are used) you might be lucky and have the 4.1 shsh saved.
Check with TinyUmbrella.
This happened to me, luckely someone had saved shsh blobs on Cydia for the replacement I got.

I too look forward to untethered jailbreak & sometimes I am frustated with how long it takes.
But I think most people get confused with the difference between a new exploit found and actually creating a jailbreak that uses the exploit to get jb on the phone.
The work involved would be similar too searching through an entire dictionary for a 1000 mispelled words, retyping the entire dictionary with the corrections. Oh; and translating on the fly from english to computer code. One charactor error such as a missing space or a period and you have to spend hours searching for error to correct bug? for example: Google "source code".

I think these teams do all this tireless and for nonprofit work for the challenge & that they truly want to release as quick as possible. They also have the added preasure of making sure they don't brick a million peoples' phones.

I think we'll all enjoy our flawless jailbreak soon. At least until Crapple convinces the masses they need to upgrade to the latest "improved firmware".

I for one don't upgrade until the new jailbreak is already released.

Jailbreak comes when it comes. If you are on 4.2.1 stock then run a tethered jailbreak with the current redsn0w. Only a couple of main cydia apps that require rebooting. I hardly ever have to reboot and when I do I make sure I don't get anything that makes me reboot till I am at home.
We've waited this long so a little while longer isn't gonna kill us.

Running 4.2.1 since i can think of and didn`t Reboot the iDevice since then. Using Clutch, playing Games & doing my Daily Business - i would say i don`t have Missed anything since then and the iDevice runs pretty Stable.

Sooner or later I am sure that we will see an untehered Jailbreak so let`s just wait and see how things Work out.
