if you recently installed something from cydia then stay in safe mode then remove the last thing you installed then respring , that usually works for me

Question. I have a 4.0.2 iphone 4. It is jailbroken with limerain. 1.59.00 baseband. I have SHSH saved for 4.2.1. Firmware 4.3 is OUT now and I have made a snowbreeze custom firmware for upgrade. How can I restore the iphone 4 to 4.2.1 using all the different apps now that 4.3 is out. It is giving me error with SHIFT click and selecting 4.2.1 custom firmware. Even though I have SHSH. Any ideas would be great. Thanks guys.

what I would do is create the snowbreeze custom using baseband preservation mode then use greenpois0n rc6.1 to jailbreak, or use the tutorial in post #8

make sure you're getting into dfu mode when restoring to custom!

if i choose preserve baseband mode............. dose it hactivate or not?? coz after i hactivate i can use red snow to jailbreak......

I've had a similar problem on my iPhone 3G. Ended needing to ssh and change a line one a .plst. I can't remember what it was. I googles iPhone 3G multitasking crash and it was like the second or third link. I think it also works for iPods

Yup no problem.SB preserves your unlockable baseband just like Pwnage does.

Hi Guys.. Need some help. Got some problems restoring custom firmware using sn0wbreeze 2.2 ... I have iphone 3G at 4.2.1

I tied to jailbreak it with sn0wbreeze , but encountered error at itunes with error 14.

Here's what i did so far,
Created custom firmware with Sn0wbreeze.
Followed instructions at Ireb and put iphone in DFU mode.
Selected Custom firmware , and restore..

After that , i encountered itunes error 14...

I also checked other forums , and recommended to put it in Recovery mode . Also tried that one and failed.

Other one suggested to restore (like normal syncing ; no need to put in DFU or recovery mode) and add as new iphone.... haven't tried this one...

anyone encountered the same issues?
