Delete individual songs/artists from iPhone 4 without a computer??

I downloaded Mewseek and got some songs using that and imported them into my iPod on my iPhone, but they weren't what I wanted and now I can't delete them.

Is there a way to delete them without plugging my phone into my computer and using iTunes?

I think you have to use Itunes to remove from the iPod.

Try this:

1.. open up iFile
make sure you are in root directory
--> / (example of where not to be is /var/)

2.. slide to the top of the screen, tap on "Search filenames"

3.. enter what song your looking for, eg. 2pac - changes
select "Hierarchy", then press Search (bottom right)

What should happen here onwards is there will be a few random letters with .mp3 at the end..
example: ASDF.mp3 although im searching for 2pac

4.. At this point you can click the little arrow to the right of file and it should
play the song! Doing this confirms in fact you selected the right song you want to delete.

5.. Swipe right to left on the file which in my case is "ASDF.mp3"... Press delete

Done!

But then they still show in the ipod.app database, but won't play....

You then need to plug into iTunes to remove them from the database.

Hence why I said this...

Why not turn on 'Song Titles' in iFile settings?
