JailbreakMe 3.0 for iOS 4.3 Untethered Jailbreak On Its Way?

The next jailbreak (demoed earlier) could be packaged in a JailbreakMe like web-based app, hints a recent conversation between Comex and a random user on Twitter.

Judging by his past releases, the jailbreak wont be out anytime soon, or at least not until Comex has ironed out all the issues and bugs before making it public. We also don’t have much details on whether the exploit used is a userland, or kernel based. If its the earlier one, then surely we can see something on the lines of version 3.0 of JailbreakMe, ready to untether all devices, including the new iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.

Ah crap, another UserLand jailbreak that can very easily be patched with an iOS update.

I was hoping it was a bootrom exploit. But oh well, its good to see atleast.

I have to side with this opinion, in his tweet he doesnt mention Jailbreakme or a web based exploit at all, its only suggested by the article writers:

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens, it's easy to speculate.

Its a web based JB 100%. Geo would be the one to give us a bootrom exploit. Comex is famous for his userland jailbreaks, thats about it.

PS: Do u see the words "Jailbreaking, Sit Tight".....Does anyone remember what it said when u did the JailbreakMe (hint hint). Not saying that it can't be changed, but just stating the obvious of what we have seen in the past.

My Opinion, he found several holes in Safari. He released JailBreakMe, which also showed his hole in Safari. So Apple patched that hole with iOS4.0.1. Now he has had this hole (on the back burner). And what better time to SHOW it then now. Well since Geo is under problems at the moment. This "hole" that Comex has had all alone, just make him look like the 4.3 GOD (at the moment).

So all in all, he never burned his 2nd Safari hole. He just kept it to himself and will decided to use it when he feels is right. Nothing special here, that i can see. Besides it IS a jailbreak.

I give him credit, because its a jailbreak. But its hard to give him FULL credit when all this is most likely a 2nd hole that never got patched in Safari. Now IF this turns out to be a bootrom exploit, THEN i will give him full credit. Because he himself could have never antisipated that.

Yep, because we based can be patched with the next update from Apple. Its a jailbreak, but its nothing fool proof. Bootrom Exploit is fool proof, because the FOOL happens to be Apple. In which Apple must put new hardware in the devices to defeat a bootrom exploit. Web based, all they do is update the iOS and it patches the holes. No more jailbreak.

I will put my money on a hole in Safari, and nothing more.

PS: Its VERY hard to exploit a devices bootrom when you are 2500 miles away from the device itself. But its VERY easy to have an open hole left in Safari that u never told the world about.
