Redsnow vs Snowbreeze
As I'm new to JB 'ing and I want to do this to my iPad 1 (4.3.1), I just wondered what the main differences between Redsnow and Snowbreeze were please?

as my understanding is Redsnow jb normally without reserved the baseband. Whereas Snowbreeze is jb custom which is reserved the baseband for those people whom rely on the unlock. Correct me if im wrong

snowbreeze is for window users to create a pre jailbreak custom firmware for your device to restore to the current firmware without updating your baseband. People use snowbreeze, most but not all, because they rely on the unlock. On the hand to use redsnow, you have to update your device to a current firmware, or whatever redsnow compatible to your device iOS, which is risking of updating your baseband and loosing unlock

I'm interested in knowing if you can read. Or perhaps, you are blind and someone typed this for you?
Either way, this question has already been answered and did not require further inquiry.
However, I'll sum it up:
snowbreeze is for windows users. It allows users to create a pre-jailbreak, custom firmware that they can use to restore from. After this restore, users can jailbreak, thus allowing them to keep their older basebands, and thus, unlocking ability.
Redsnow allows for Jailbreaking as well, however, your device must be upgraded to the latest firmware for this to work. By upgrading to the latest firmware, say - for example - via iTunes, you run the risk of upgrading your baseband and thus losing unlocking ability (for the time being).

<3 no prob...sorry for the blind comment, but I just get frustrated sometimes when people do not read the whole thread through. These big releases are jam-packed with info and people should take the time to read up on what they are about to do, before they do it! = )

just remember iphone 4 folks..jailbreaking with sn0wbreeze on 1.59 baseband will cause your reception bars to sit at 1 bar. The devs are still working on the fix

its best to preserve the baseband that you have..because when you want to sell that phone for the new iphone, it's more valuable UNLOCKED, which brings you a better advantage

I think Redsnow is the best, and very easy to use. I was attempted through sn0wbreez many times but fail and always get the error in the end.
