Cydia package error run apt-get

im happy with redsn0w on iphone 4 4.3.1 untethered

it was working great until i added appbackup to restore

since then i have issues on cydia

tried to delete it manually and aswell tried all sorts

how to i get to run apt-get

never used it before

u run that command in terminal


apt-get update

And if there is no apt-get command inside terminal, you need to install aptitude. You can download from here (http://apt.saurik.com/cydia/debs/apt...honeos-arm.deb) and (http://apt.saurik.com/cydia/debs/apt...honeos-arm.deb) to install.

i have the same problem and has tried the apt-get update but the problem still persists. any help?

i just ended up to doing restoring the jailbreak with a fresh install !!!

Hi mate;
Yep you will end up restoring again if you get this error cause there is no auto fix for it and specialy when you used the backup restore from PKGBackup, cause i think that it is not compatible with ios 4.3.2 and 4.3.1 yet.
Next time when you're going to restore from pkgbackup make sure not to restore the main cydia 5 repsitories.

First post should be introducing yourself in the new members section. Secondly search for your answer using the search bar in this forum.

Third I used the search bar to search for "apt-get update" without quotes, and I found this thread Cydia Update? - SiNfuL iPhone.

Fourth I used the search bar to search for MobileTerminal, and I found this thread SiNfuL iPhone.

Fifth I used the search bar to search for "Install a .deb file" without quotes, and I found this thread Options to install a .deb file - SiNfuL iPhone.

Does Aptupdate for SBSettings do the same thing as apt-get command?

AptUpdate not only updates your packages list as specified in your source file, it also upgrades deb files whenever there is a newer release. I prefer to download or install cracked app myself via terminal as Cydia/Apt always tries to uninstall cracked app.
