New app in cydia - Longitude

looks like a great app, but you have to install rock app with it, does anyone know a way to install it without rock app? Or maybe crack it so you dont need rock app?

This app is 3rd party, and it will be avaliable to people who whine and moan about rock app, without rock app in the near future.

I don't see the big deal. I actually like Rock and deleting is easy enough if you don't.
And another thing, sections are there for a reason. It's not a library if you just stick a book on a shelf.

I agree rockapp is pointless if you already have cydia. I'll look in this in the morning and see if I can figure something out. Were all a happy family guys

Longitude wi'll be available in Cydia nextweek. You can add friends to it and give them prefeleges. But 2b honest. I don't like it. I like my privacy

Yeah and I just like the feature where you can allow your friends an exact position, a city position or even a faked position. So your privacy is preserved! And the best about it: If you activate location tracking by google, then it saves a moving-profile for you and if you are at the same location as one in your friend-list, you'll get an alert. But only if the position is special, normal everyday positions like work or home are not special for example.
Uh and yeah: I simply don't care if google knows my moving profile or my actual position.
I really lookin forward to get my hands on this cuz Android and Nokia already have native Latitude clients!

constant gps usage in the background? i think it would take too high a toll on my already heavily used battery. will it replace loopt?

the interface is kinda cool, but it seams to never have the stuff i want... bright side though it does backup your phone apps (ur lists them :scratcheshead which comes in pretty handy for the occasional format re-install
