Where is the wifi password stored?
I need some help here.
I want to restore my iPhone to another fw (don't ask why, I just want to do that), but here's the thing: I've gone to various places where I was given the wifi password and every time I go there I have instant access to the internet. I know that if I restore and setup as a new iPhone all the data are lost, but if I restore from last backup, it gives back all passwords and everything I had so far. However, I don't want to restore from backup but to set up as a new iPhone (again, don't ask why, I just want to do that). But then, I want to have access to all the wifi places where I used to have the password without having to ask anyone, the answer is not allways positive.
So, my questions are:
Where are the wifi passwords stored in the idevice?
and,
Are they encrypted?
I did a research once and was almost there, but for some unfortunate reason I didn't get to the bottom of it.
Does anyone know that?
Please answer to these two questions if you know the answer, not any "alternative solutions" or "let me google that for you".
I'd appreciate any help with that.
---------- EDIT ----------
BTW, I use 3GS on 4.3.2

Just to let you know, it gave me the info I need. Thank you both guys
Now, I don't realy need to know where the wifi passwords are stored, this little app solved my problem, but in case you know, it would be valuable info.

Hi everyone.
I would really apreciate your help on this, since I've researched for quite some time now but have got no success...
I have installed this app (wifi passwords) from cydia, but after doing a restore to a new iOS version and set up as a new phone, the passwords it used to have simply dissapeared.
So, my question is:
What's the file used by the application to store this information and where is it located ?
and also:
Can I extract it from a previous backup and upload it to the new setup phone, using a tool like iPhone backup extractor ?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Same problem here: I have a complete Backup (in iTunes) plus the complete filesystem via rsync but I can't find the file! I already did a "grep" on the files, but only found the sqlite database from ewifi, where I typed in my wifi password once.
So any idea which file holds all the stored wifi passwords?
Thanks.
