i'll be the outcast and say I love my white iphone...
Its so surprising that soooo many people have no idea they even make a white one...
No color deformations yet, and i've had my 3gs since the day it was released...
And someone said something about the cases earlier, while its true you to cover most of the phone with a case, i still feel its better to have a white background against the case, rather than black.

ok the white iphones has all the original accessories in white (headphones, docks,ect )
the black iphone may have few original accessories in black.
but i have heard the white iphone 3gs when it gets hot the back of the phone leaves a small orange mark on it i don't know if it is true or not. i have white iphone so far it has not turn to orange on the back yet.

i have a black gs. reason being? white turns brown eventually. all my other phone that was white turned brown. all my friends white iphones are now brown and white. lol so black FTW!!!

assuming he buys from att/apple store, and that he lives in an area that sells iphones like hotcakes...
i know a few people in small towns that have brand new iphone 3gs that are old bootrom cause they haven't sold through them yet. also ebay is another option, or buying from someone on craigslist.

i agree with you maybe some apple and att stores where the deal is not too hot, they might have some old ones left. it is not easy now to buy iphone form other people because att and apple have a new rule now, they want people to stop selling their iphone then cancel the contract.

ya i heard about that new rule... but its mostly affecting the people who do that add a line... there is really nothing apple can do if you buy an iphone and then decide to cancel your contract... apparently their is some kind of waiting period if you cancel within so many months they require full price of the phone or the phone back something to that effect. but i hardly doubt that is stopping anyone.
even so though really doesn't matter cause that just recently went into affect meaning mostly what you will find on ebay or craiglist is going to be the old bootrom so a bunus for him.

this is pretty much what i said, but there has to be some sort of time limit that this is held within... 6 months a year... surely to god you arent held to that for full 2 year term, cause people do early upgrade and change to different phones all the time or can't afford the iphone plan anymore and just wnat to go back to their old phone. im sure there is a loophole.

hrm i know this just recently went into affect... does that apply to people that purchase before this new policy or are they grandfathered? and as i never recieved a notice through the mail nor email of this policy i wouldn't think i could be held to it unbenouced yanno?
