not being friendly with winterboard. Sync doesnt cause lag no more. Am think mobile substrate has to updated for this one

I can confirm that MobileSubstrate is NOT working on iOS 5 Beta 2 on 3GS. It just crashes to safe mode no matter what, until I remove it. It was working in the first beta, so this really bums me out. Now i have to wait for a damn update for mobilesubstrate

Updated my 3GS. As a Windows user I cant see any difference from Beta 1??

I can't really comment on the PROS & CONS since I haven't jailbroken my iPhone on beta 2 yet !
Therefore I need you guys to help me understand what's WORKING & NOT WORKING.

not many difference, but id like wifi sync to be activated in itunes 10.5 windows

it keeps crashing my pc :O

fuck yeah, oh and a bunch of other shit listed here, like OTA updates. Only reason I don't like having a PC, no support from apple, not that I would expect any.

the list of changes that has been incorporated into iOS 5 beta 2

- Photo effects
- You can now sync your device via WiFi
- Restriction for sending large MMS messages
- New UI for Notification Center in the lock screen
- iMessage beta 1 users will not be able to communicate with iMessage beta 2 users.

and the beta 2 experience

When you receive a single notification while your device is locked, it will appear in the center inside of a bubble (almost like the previous notification system). It isn’t until you receive more notifications that they start stacking up like in Beta 1.
Text message font is changed…for the better!
The Apple logo that appears when you boot up your device: it’s animated! (video demo at the end of the post)
Lock screen notifications are bigger

iCloud has a new logo in the Settings app (it is now a chrome icon instead of the purple-ish icon)
When setting up device, you have option of backing up to iCloud or computer
If you don’t have any notifications, Notification Center will say “No New Notifications”
Stock widget in Notification Center is off by default
Wallpapers are back (no pre-installed wallpapers appeared in Beta 1) , no new wallpapers compared to iOS 4

You are required to sign in with an Apple ID to use the device after setup (in Beta 1, you did not have to sign in with an Apple ID, thus you could setup the device with no internet)
In Music app: albums with no artwork now have a redesigned placeholder

Multiple reports, including my own experiences, that Beta 2 is much faster than Beta 1, especially on older devices with older hardware.

does seem faster, shame apple do dis pc users.

other than that, bit unstable on sync with itunes 10.5 crashing a lot, not syncing etc.

I didn't see the animated boot logo? Ive turned it on and off 3 times now its still the same old logo...

Only did that for me once from the first turn on from restore, now it doesn't.

i find it more stable. you can save pictures now if someone sends you a mms!!! lol, that was bugging me in beta 1 glad they fixed in beta 2. everything working fine for me as far as jailbreak tweaks that worked on beta 1 still working on beta 2.

no issues "so far"

I've tried rebooting my iPhone many times and still, nothing is animated.
I guess it's one of those "WELCOME" thing that happens during initial set-ups.
