HELP!! No info.plist

I have an iPhone 4 with 4.3.3 and I was using iPhone Explorer on my PC to delete some old files that I didn't need. I must of deleted the wrong thing because evertime my phone starts up it says "Runtime Error Info.plist not found" When the phone loads up all my apps from cydia are missing and sms,phone,email,app store,itunes etc... are missing as well. All I that shows are the apps from the app store. Is there a way to recover deleted files on the iPhone 4? I really need to get that file back! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if I could somehow mount the iPhone on my PC as a disk drive then I could try and use some data recovery software to try and find the deleted file. Thanks!

Have u tried to sync ur phone to itunes, do backup and restore it?

Yes thats the best way

but instead of backing up and restoring it from that,
just try to set it up as a new phone and check
99% u will get the file

Can you recall which directory location were you meddling in? So that one of us can send upload the file for you.

I was deleting some files in var/mobile/documents and var/mobile/media/downloads. If anyone has a file they could give me that would be great!

I couldn't find any Info.plist file in both said locations. But I found Info.plist in this "/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/.MISC" directory though.

I honestly don't think I deleted an info.plist because I know better than that. It's just weird that right after I deleted some downloaded files that message popped up and a lot of things were gone. I can't even bring up the phone, sms, or safari. It doesn't even show up if I use the search on the iPhone. I did try and call myself and I was able to receive a call. I am not home right now but once I get back I will try to sync it with my iTunes.

those locations are created by jailbreaking i think. thats where safari download managed and other programs place your downloaded content.

what i would suggest is checking your garbage can on your computer and seeing what if any .plist files are there.

if there is a .plist file in your garbage then post the name of it and im sure we can tell you the location you will need to put it.

i believe that manifest.plist is just for backup purposes for that particular folder.

it should not effect the native apps in anyway.

I have a feeling this is a case where a restore is actually necessary, unless you can find what you deleted and put it back. Plus you'll need to fix file permissions.

Uninstall Dreamborad from Cydia and all will be OK.
