Cydia Update?

Every time I run Cydia it says "Encountered a section with no Package: header"
At the end of three lines of the above, it says "You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems."

How do I run apt-get update?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just run "apt-get update" in terminal. Don't ask me what is or how to install terminal. You search via Google or the search option in this forum.

apt-get does not work for me. I have everything installed as per the pdf above explains. Is there another solution aside from reintalling the iOS?
