Redsn0w 0.9.8b7b Update #7b: About 12 hours after we released redsn0w 0.9.8b7 with some improvements for iOS5b6, Apple went and released iOS5b7 (what are the odds of that?!?). Even though that redsn0w could still jailbreak iOS5b7, you needed to point it at the iOS5b6 IPSW to do so. Today’s redsn0w 0.9.8b7b lets you point redsn0w directly at the iOS5b7 IPSW instead. Last but not least, we fixed some lingering Verizon iPhone4 4.2.10 JB issues. Have a great Labor Day weekend! Macintosh Windows

No you have to manually remove the strings through SSH. Snowbreeze is the one who eliminated the udid check and time bomb.

Help!!
I am a virgin when it comes to jailbreaking/unlocking the iPhone. My friend jailbroken my iPhone, but didn't show me how he did it. I want to learn how so that I do not have to rely on others to do my future biddings. Can someone give me a guide? I know the I have to backup all of my Apps, the download something, then download 4.3.5, then do something, then get Apps back. I need a play-by-play.

Just found out that my old 3GS has a old Bootrom
So I updated to 4.3.5 and jailbreaked it with redsn0w! Everything worked fine...
and it's untethered
Only iBooks crashes now on start and iProtect 2.6 (from sinufuliphonerepo) also don't work anymore. It also crashes on start.. Maybe cause of redsn0w?? Don't know
, but maybe it's a useful information for someone.
