USB movies

Hi lads, I've tried to watch a movie on a USB stick plugged into ipad2 using camera kit. Using file it don't seem to like playing! Dos it have to be a mp4? Is there a better movie program I should use to view movie? Ta

For iPad use buzz player (really good for .avi) and avplayer hd ( nice for avi, mkv, flv, iso etc...is your iPad recognizing the USB device? You can link your files to those 2 app so there's no need to copy movie files to iPad

then all you need to do is launch ifile and put the ipad in the diagonal position. open the key on the left panel and click edit on the folder that has the films. select the files you want to play and click copy/link. i have cinexplayer and i browse to the app folder then documents inside the app folder. i then click edit again and link file. you cant remove the key or cck if you link the files or obviously the player wont find them. i then launch cinexplayer and all the files i linked are there. play away

P.S just tried avplayerhd on my ipad 2 and keeping it. it plays files with ac3 which cinexplayer does not. same applies though. transfer to the documents folder within the avplayer folder

Blimey I must be stupid but I can't find the movie in buzz, I press the link but not sure what to do next

I've worked it out now, just tried to watch .mkv in buzz and it was pretty bad! Has anyone else had this using buzz? Or it could be a slow mem stick?

mkv will only play good if it is in x264

try XBMC

I've now played the mkv using avplayer and it works mint what a great app
