How to get T-Mobile MMS working on all firmwares (including iphone 2g) and Edge fix

There is a solution that is interesting that gets t-mobile MMS working
I have an iphone 4 running 4.3.3 bb 04.10.01 and this is how I got it to work (tested on 3 devices)

Step one: Download TetherMe from any source
Step two: go into cydia and add the http://beta.leimobile.com/repo into sources (You must use this source)
Step three: find the T-Mobile MMS fix from that source and download it
Step four: go into Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data network and change both APNs to internet2.voicestream.com (if your EDGE doesnt work do not change the APN for cellular data network)

Step five: If your EDGE doesnt work go into Safari on your device and follow the steps on Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone

After this your MMS should work after a re-boot, I would also suggest biteSMS as if the message fails the first time it will retry on its own, if not you can retry sending manually

Let me know if this works for you too

Confirmed: Works on 3GS and 3G thanks to some friends testing it out (Not tested below 4.2 yet)

Edit: works on the iphone 2g iOS 3.1.3!
If you are on the iphone 2G add the source: http://c.ifon1.no/
Afterward install MMS for 3.1.3 and then follow the steps above

Edit: The tetherme step seems to not be needed by most people on 4.2.x or lower so I assume its needed on 4.3.x or up. I would suggest downloading it to be safe but it might not be needed. Feel free to check

Edit: On iOS 5 you will need to install tetherme to get FaceTime/iMessage working

Made a huge mistake earlier writing the 1.59.00 baseband, I wish I had that, this method works on all basebands!

I'm new to this forum, but i have a iphone 4, version 4.3.5 and my carrier is Tmobile, i'm having trouble receiving picture messages, i can send but not receive.. is there anyway that I can get it working?

Did not work at first, but then I cleared out the Cellular Data APN hit respring and now my MMS works perfectly! Thanks!!

They will auto install with the source from LEI mobile

go to cydia, click on manage, then sources, then edit, then add and type in cydia.pushfix.info
once installed go back in to sources and youll see what you just installed ( cydia.pushfix.info )
scroll down to tmobile us mms fix, click on it and install.... this will update your network settings... and should rebbot your phone

once it reboots, on your phone click on settings, general, network and you should have 2 empty spots that you need to fill in ( both say APN ) in those empty spots type in WAP.VOICESTREAM.COM ( capitalization not necessary )
reboot your phone and your mms should work fine on tmobile, you should see a camera icon next to where you type the text message... ive done this a 100 times, let me know if you need further help

I have an iphone 4 w 4.3.5 bb 4.10.01 unlocked w gevey sim on tmobile. Mms is not working with all the steps you provided. I have the camaera icon, but when I try to send a pic I get message send failure. I also am unable to receive mms.

It worked for me i can send picture message now but i can not receive picture due to resolution size message. Any idea . Thanks a lot bro

Try a network reset and once again re enter the internet2.voicestream.com into the APNs
In worst case reinstall both files and that should fix it up

So, using this technique worked about a month ago - September 2011 - for the iPhone models listed - for T-Mobile USA? Almost all the other information I find for MMS on T-Mobile is outdated - and does not work on my iPhone 3G. The one part in your guide that I haven't tried along with with the lei repository package is the TetherMe one you mention - available from anywhere. So, which TetherMe - is there more than one ? - and where do i find a safe copy? Thanks in advance!

I used the one from sinfuliphonerepo

It may not work right away (though it usually does) and may require a reboot but within an hour MMS will start to work
