So I made a change to an app on my iPhone by using IDA and hex editing to NOP a few instructions.
Anyway, to be able to run the edited application, you obviously need to sign it. Usually I would use 'ldid -S' for that, but it's been giving me an error:
malformed object (unknown load command 4)
util/ldid.cpp(582): _assert(0:WEXITSTATUS(status) == 0)
Anyway I looked into other ways of bypassing iPhone Code Signatures (on Saurik's site) and he uses codesign.
I assume this is mac software that you use when you write your own applications, but apart from disabling the checks which completely disables my wifi, (which is needed for the application) I have no other options.
So, 2 questions.
1. Can you get codesign for windows, or can you run it on the iPhone?
2. Will codesign work on an app that isn't yours?
I've already done googling for a couple of hours and kept hitting dead ends.
Any help is appreciated.
