 How to change Zip file to Ipsw file

How to change Zip file to Ipsw file

I downloade firmware file its become in the format of zip file so how to change in
IPSW file ?
Appreciate in advanced.

just rename the file

the ipsw is zip compressed

Wait, is the ipsw in the zip file? Because if it is use win rar to open up the zip file then extract the ipsw to your desktop.

just change the extension from .zip to .ipsw all will be well.

In some browsers are the file IPSW only detected as an extractable archive , dats why it is shown as a zip file ,in the farest sense a ipsw file is only an archive to extract.

As the others said rename it to ipsw.

Goto folders options then pick view and disable "hide ectensions for known filetypes" so you can edit the file extension.
