Upgrade question(AT&T)

Okay so i want to upgrade to the iphone 4S but my phone isnt eligible for the upgrade so i would have to pay the full price, i dont want to do that.

Both my parents are eligible for an upgrade but they dont want to have to pay an extra $15 a month for the data plan, which i would have to get if i used there upgrade to get the new iphone.

My question is, can i use their upgrade to get the iphone. Then call att and tell them that i want to get rid of the data plan, because i want to switch back to the old phone that didnt need a data plan. Will they let me get away with this?

Yes. Or you can just say you lost your phone, therefore you don't need the data plan anymore.

Once you put the SIM card back into the iPhone, they will add the internet plan back sooner or later. Mostly likely within 48 hours.

Well what i plan on doing is putting my sim into the 4S i would get, and my parents would actually be using there old phone

Youcan use their upgrade but you have to switch the numbers back when you get the phone. Just go into the store and get a new sim (it's the cheapest way). You have to have a data plan though there's no way around that.

I think u can do an early upgrade, it won't b quite as much, plus Radio Shack will give u some cash for ur phone depending on it's condition

well im trying to get the 64gb one, so it would end up being $650 because for early upgrade its an extra $250
