iphone 4S 4G lite

Is the iPhone 4s able to do 4G lite? I live in a area where the 4G lite from AT&T is available. I spoke to some India chick last nite and she told me that it was but I had to switch the data package from my iPhone 4 to the new iPhone 4s data package.

I told the chick that I was not going to lose my unlimited data, right.. She said that I would keep that but I don't believe that. I'm on a corporate account.. The $60 buck plan was for 4gig, visual voice mail, tethering and hot spot. I said no, keep my unlimited package but I will call back during the week. BS is you ask me

They can cancel your unlimited data plan anytime they want. The did it to my buddy.. Told him that he was using tethering and told him that's not what its for. He was pissed and has not had a call back from corporate office yet.

They track it by data usage. I have a good friend that is an engineer at att The new 4g network is going to be their way of shutting all of our unlimited data packages down tho . They will look at it like we are signing a new contract to a new data plan. Which therefor does away with our unlimited data

The new 4s has a built in sim. You don't have to switch your data package or whatever BS you heard or are saying. I already ran the speed test and am experiencing the faster D/L speeds. (5.9 mbps was my best) using the HSPA+ network AT&T

Shit
Wrong, you can update your phone to the 4g plan without changing your data plan, I know this for a fact because changed phones from a 3GS to an Infuse which is a 4g phone, they said it will work better with the 4g plan so they changed it over and the unlimited data is still there, you HAVE to tell them you don't want anything changed on your data plan or they will try to. Oh and no matter what AT&T tries to tell you, they CAN get your unlimited data back if they fuck it up some how and remove it.

If it is built in, can you remove it or is it stuck in there?

I don't think he means built in I think he means just comes with one already in it, you can remove the sim cards the same way you did with iPhone 4, they are micro sims and on the side.

I got worried for a second. I ordered the 64gb 4s but using my daughters number and I was going to switch out my sim from my 4 into hers. After seeing this thread I went and did a google search and found nothing about the sim card being able to be changed so thank you Seveiv for answering my question!

Thanks to l8ter for the sig!

Right. I know they would like to strip you of your data plan.. Back to where I asked if the 4s is capable of getting 4G lite speed. I know here in my city we have the 4G lite enabled but not sure if this phone can get it. We know it can handle the 3G network.

Yeah they both take micro sims and you shouldn't have a problem just swapping them out. The 4s sim card is located in the exact same spot. Snapped a quit picture for you. Sorry it's blurry, was holding my webcam with my hand lol

Thanks for the pix. I know that the phone has a sims card since I own the phone but can the iPhone 4s handle 4G lte speed?

ofm24- Do you live in a city that offers the 4G lte speed?

AT&T, will first launch 4G LTE in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Chicago and Atlanta

You're not going to get 4g lte speeds on the iphone because it's not a 4g phone, that's not saying you won't get good speeds on the phone, I can get 4+ mbps BUT an actual 4g phone like the Infuse should get 9+

---------- EDIT ----------

The sim card response wasn't directed at you.

I live in Atlanta and have had 4G lite up here for at least 2 yrs. AT&T just started promoting it a few months ago, but we have had it in Atlanta for a very long time.

If I recall correct I believe Atlanta had it 1st.

The iPhone4s does not run on 4G, but it is the fastest 3G phone out. I get anywhere from 10mbs to 13mbs while downloading in my area.

See you get the 4g speeds or close, I'm not in a 4g area and my 4s gets average about 5.4 mbps
