Ahh fuck , i cant count anymore the many times that i told it here to folks that there is really and for sure no need to save any shsh blobs for device generations below the 3GS .
Why ?
Bcuz beginning with the 3gs came the new bootrom devices and those devices witth a new bootrom have or need to store their shsh blobs , to have a up and downgrade option.
On a 3g you can go for any firmware you want (where it is needed to say thet it makes no sense to head for a firmware below 4.0 if you want to use @ least certain new apps).
I have also a old 3g still in use and thats why i can tell this ,and my 3gs has also a old bootrom and ive never used tinyumbrella or similar tools to save shsh or eicd things and restore my devices since almost three years now pretty much succesfully .Thats why iam always pretty angry when i read story's about shsh blobs storing on non new bootrom devices .
Between us said to make sure iam not attacking here any person in this thread look how long iam here in the business and if you keep yourself repeating you can imagine that this suxx after a while , right ?
You only need ireb for 4.x to prevent any 1600 errors .About the itunes said things in this thread are correct.
So stop believing in those fables from storing shsh blobs on a 3g and older devices generations.
