[ATV2] XBMC BBC iPlayer plugin

I'd recommend using a repository for the installation of the plugin:
it allows for later automatic upgrades,
so you'll always have the latest version without hunting about.

Here is a link to Hitcher's repo, that has the iPlayer add-on:
http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-repo-hitchers/downloads/list

if you just want to download the plugin for manual installation:
http://xbmc-repo-hitchers.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/plugin.video.iplayer/
or from the official project page here:-
http://xbmc-iplayerv2.googlecode.com/files/iPlayer-v2.4.12.zip

Download the zip and the in the Add ons section of XBMC choose install from zip.

this is how I did it.
1. Unzip the repository zip file - i've done that.
2. From the home page, move to Videos and then select the sub-menu. On the Apple Remote, that's the down button.
3. On the sub menus you'll see the Addons menu. Click that.
4. Click Get More...
5. Click Video Add-ons
You should then see a list of the Add-ons from that repository. Select the ones I want BUT can't install its .why?

The whole purpose is to avoid paying. Your suggestion "usvideo.org" requires a monthly subscription. Thanks, but NO thanks

the official repo is here:-

once downloaded:-
open XBMC >> System >> add-ons >> install from zip

official sources added to OP
